Future Home of Forever Safe Chimps As the years chug along we, the founders, of Forever Safe Farm have experienced the gamut of human behavior with animals. When we see those that truly love and properly care for their pets our hearts are warmed. But there is a dark side to human interaction with animals. From pit bull fights to starving and abuse in so many forms, we have shed many a tear. One of the darker depths of the human has been the abuse our superior race has caused to the chimpanzee and we intend to make a difference. As we approach a milestone of 27 years of marriage together our greatest accomplishment is that of our family. That family extends to the furred and feathered (and many others) and we are so blessed to have been able to provide love and sanctuary to so many well deserving animals. Forever Safe Farm, as it stands today, is our personal endeavor… we use our good fortune to help where we can. For many years we have totally self-supported these very deserving animals. We have done this because we wanted to, we could afford to and because we wanted to try…

Parker - The Blind Great DaneSocial media is alive and well. We are all in constant contact these days. This has brought Parker to his forever home. On a typical morning I recently settled at my desk, fresh cup of coffee in hand, and worked my way through my email Inbox and moved onto Facebook for daily updates. This brought me to the first posting I saw as the page opened and that was Parker. Sometimes you just know, somehow I just knew that Parker belongs at Forever Safe Farm.

Parker had a great home with a loving family that had him since he was six weeks old. He was born blind ...

Rudy the 3-legged DeerRudy, the three legged deer, has touched everyone's heart who comes in contact with him. He was born on a deer farm and at the age of around 4 to 6 hours after his birth was stepped on by a domestic elk that it shared an 8 acre enclosure with. The owner of the farm offered him to us as it was obvious the medical care was going to be extensive.

When we first saw him, his tibia (leg bone) was snapped in two and protruding a couple of inches through the skin. We rushed him to our vet and they performed emergency surgery on Rudy to amputate his rear leg.

He was terrified by all of the human contact but seemed to be in shock and cooperated. He came out of surgery and returned to us to be fed goats milk (fresh squeezed of course!) this leads to a goat story but we can talk about that later.
